Working with the NMA since 2013, we've been delighted to support their ticketing requirements for almost a decade! In that time, our relationship has flourished as we've evolved together. Situated on Plymouth Sound, the Aquarium is split into four zones and welcomes thousands of visitors each year. 

Events and experiences

Whilst general admissions are pretty important, NMA really hit it out of the park with their incredible events. Imagine the coolest possible event to hold in an aquarium - we guarantee that NMA have exceeded it. With an incredible portfolio of events that run throughout the year, these immersive experiences are certainly something different. From dining in front of sharks to VIP tours, snorkel safari to yoga sessions, these eclectic experiences are top sellers! The National Marine Aquarium heavily utilise the sub-category feature in the back office, ensuring that their events pages are clear and easy to read without having a cluttered home page! 

Being able to effectively plan before an event makes for a much better visit all around. NMA use custom fields at checkout to do this; being about to collect as much information as possible before the visitor arrives makes for a much more personalised day out.

Of course, running the event on the day is just one part of the process. Communicating with your customers, before, during and after the visit, makes for an even better experience all around. By using our automatic emails feature, NMA are able to remind customers, collate feedback, and communicate unexpected changes as they happen. 

Incorporating school and group bookings...

Whilst attracting large volumes of the general public is key, attractions of all shapes and sizes also welcome groups throughout the year and they are a vital part of their revenue stream. Every attraction manages its group bookings differently. Some prefer to allow the groups to book online and make payment upfront whilst others want to manage the bookings closely by adding them themselves. There's no right or wrong here, it's simply up to you! 

NMA make use of the hidden links feature, meaning they can easily send out links to groups for them to book online, making the process as straightforward as possible. Working with NMA over the last decade has been a pleasure!
