A day in the life of an Onboarding Project Manager!

Alina

Next in our 'Day in the Life' series, we're heading to Onboarding! As operational aficionados, the Onboarding Team work with clients across the attractions industry. There's not much they haven't seen! This week we caught up with Alina who's part of the team to explain all things project-based.

Hi Alina! Great to have you here and, I hear congratulations are in order, as you're celebrating your one-year anniversary with us.

Yes, that's right! This week marked my first year at DigiTickets and I've really enjoyed it so far.

So tell us, what were you doing before DigiTickets

So I came from a background working in Luxury Hotels, so I'm very familiar with working with clients and being in a customer-facing role, which is probably where my eye for detail comes from, it's only the best in 5*!

Onboarding.... can you tell us exactly what this means?

Sure! So Onboarding is the place where all new clients come to. The Onboarding Team (or the Project Team as we're better known), take all the new projects to DigiTickets and get them set up with any of the DigiTickets solutions. It takes quite a bit of work to go to a brand-new system. We're the first point of call for clients before they go live and afterwards they move onto the Client Services Team.

It sounds like a lot of work!

It is, but it's also incredibly rewarding as you really do get to see a project from start to finish. We've had instances where new clients come through on some very tight timelines, so we always pull together to get this done. We start with building the ticketing page, branding it to match the client's website, and adding all the ticketing information, memberships, and gift vouchers - you name it!

Wow, anything else?

The other large parts of the projects can often be the till systems. Often this is hand-in-hand with online ticketing. We arrange all the till set-up, hardware orders, chip & pin devices, staff training and more. Basically, we're there for every step of the journey, 'self sign-up isn't a thing at DigiTickets.

So what's been your favourite project so far?

They've all been so different! But one that's really stuck out was Killarney Brewing, it's not every day you work on a set-up for a brand new distillery.

So what's next for you at DigiTickets?

Well, the only way is up! Moving into my second year I'll be taking the lead on larger more complex projects and I'll also be working on supporting the other members of the Project Team. Watch this space.
